Dubai has come a long way from its early days as a pearl diving center. It’s now known for cutting-edge skyscrapers, stunning man-made islands, and the tallest structure in the world. On this tour you’ll see the highlights of the old and new Dubai.
Your local guide will meet you at your hotel. Start off by taking in the charm of Dubai’s historic area, and visit the Dubai Creek, which is considered to be the center of the city.
Next you’ll visit historic Al Bastakiyah, noted for its towers and the small alleys that wind through the district. Stop at Al Fahidi Fort that is now home to the Dubai Museum. You’ll also see the Old Mosque and the Ruler’s Court. Ride an abra on Dubai Creek to feel that you’ve really been taken back into the past. This water taxi was the first type of transport for Dubai residents.
You’ll have the opportunity to explore the spice and gold souks, another part of old Dubai. The marketplace is filled with thousands of herbs and spices and gold jewelry.
The next part of the tour takes you from the old Dubai to the new. See the Jumeirah Mosque and marvel at its stunning architecture. Stop at Burj Al Arab, the world’s tallest hotel, shaped like a billowing sail. Continue to Palm Jumeirah, the famous man-made island shaped like a giant palm tree. Visit the open-air marine world at Atlantis the Palm, and continue to marvel at the modern city’s innovations.
On the drive along the Sheikh Zayed Road you’ll marvel at the city’s impressive structures. Stop at the Dubai Mall next, where there are thousands of shops filled with thousands of tourists and locals. Last on the Dubai sightseeing tour is the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa.
At the end of the tour, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel.
